Edgar Lee Bright, Sr. 1933-2005 -- Edgar Lee Bright, age 72, of Butler, MO died Monday, August 1, 2005 at Willow Lane Nursing Home in Butler. He was born May 15, 1933 to Edgar Otis and Wilma May Arnold Bright in Foster, MO. Memorial Services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler with Brother John Davis officiating. Inurnment, Ridgewood Cemetary, Wellston, OH. Contributions may be made to the Foster Christian Church.

Heather Dawn Bright, age 28, of Liberal, passed away Friday morning, Oct. 12, 2007, due to an automobile accident. Heather was born Aug. 2, 1979, in Fort Scott, Kansas to Steve and Wilma (Stevens) Bright. She graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1997 and attended Fort Scott Community College. Heather was currently working on the family farm and had made plans to pursue a business degree at Vatterott College. She attended Main Street Bible Church in Liberal. Heather will be forever remembered for the joy that she shared through her infectious laugh, her strong work ethic, and her indomitable spirit. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Survivors include her children, Shaye Dawn Marie and Treyton James, of the home; her father and step-mother, Steve and Cindy Bright, Girard, Kan.; mother and step-father, Wilma and Rick Bevenue, Nevada; a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer & Eric Yount, Liberal; a step-brother, Kyle Robertson, Girard; a step-sister, Beth Robertson, Franklin, Kansas; and a large extended family. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial in Shiloh Cemetery northwest of Liberal. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a family memorial fund to benefit Heather's children and may be sent to Daniel Funeral Home.
