Funeral services for Eldon Cox will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Rev. Bob Maffitt officiating. Visitation, 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 14 at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial, Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions, Passaic United Methodist Church. James Eldon Cox, age 85 of Butler, Missouri died Monday, November 10, 2008 at Willow Lane Nursing Center in Butler. He was born September 24, 1923 to James and Maude Elsie Burke Cox in Bates County, Missouri. Eldon is survived by his wife of 57 years, Velda Cox of Butler, Missouri; two sons, Alan Cox and wife Lynn and Doug Cox, all of Butler, Missouri; a daughter, Vicki Parabicoli and husband Richard of Upton, Massachusetts; seven grandchildren, Brian Cox and wife LeeAnn, Mark Cox and fiance` LeaAnn, Matthew Parabicoli, Ashley Cox, Lesley Cox, Jenna Parabicoli and Christa Parabicoli; and two great-grandsons, Wyatt and Eli. He was preceded in death by his parents.
