YOUNG, Bessie Belle (1888 - 1931)

BESSIE BELLE YOUNG DEAD - Mrs. Bessie Belle Young died at her home near Johnston City, Mo., on Saturday, November 14, 1931; aged 43 years, 9 months and 16 days. Bessie Bell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Watson, was born near Altona, Mo., and spent her childhood in that vicinity. At the age of 13 years she was converted and united with the Altona Baptist Church and lived a consisted Christian life until she was called home. On May 12, 1908, she was united in marriage with Louis G. Young. To this union three children were born, viz: Hugh Milford who preceded her in death at the age of 10 years; Ora Mae and Kenneth, at home. Besides the two children she is survived by her husband, her father, one brother Marion Watson, three nieces, one nephew and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Young was a good Christian woman and many friends mourn her untimely passing. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Altona Baptist church and interment was made in the cemetery at that place.

YOUNG, Ethel Marie (1920 - 2009)
Ethel Marie Young 1920 - 2009. Ethel Marie Young, 89, Adrian, MO, died Friday, June 12, 2009 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, MO. Ethel was born February 19, 1920 in Fontana, KS, the daughter of George Henry and Kate May (Moore) Brocker. She was a 1937 graduate of Fontana High School. She was so happy to attend her 70th class reunion in May 2007. Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel, Adrian, Missouri. Rev. Bob Maffitt, Adrian United Methodist Church officiated. Interment was in Miami County Memorial Gardens, Paola, KS.

YOUNG, HENRIETTA (1842 - 1907)

Death Of Henrietta Young - Henriettea Brown was born September 14, 1842 in Scott County, Illinois where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Abraham Young August 7, 1861. To this union six children were born: James Elsworth, who died in infancy; William F., Abraham Jr., Clara, Clarence, and Melvin. The family moved to Missouri in 1878, where the deceased resided until the time of her death, April 18, 1921 at Rockville, Missouri. Those of her family who preceded her in death are her husband, who died in 1908, Abraham Jr, a son, and Clara a daughter. The remaining are W. F. of Porterville, California; Clarence and Melvin, who reside near the home place, besides several grandchildren. She united with the Christian Church several years ago and remained a constant member until her death at the age of 78 years and 7 months.

YOUNG, Hugh (1910 - 1920)

HUGH YOUNG DEAD - Hugh, the 10 year-old- son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Young, died at the family home near Altona, Thursday, Dec. 9th, after a lingering illness. He is survived by his parents, one brother and one sister. These have the sincere sympathy of their many friends in the loss of this bright little boy. Funeral services were held from the Altona Baptist church Friday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. W. S. Weir. Burial was made in Altona cemetery.

YOUNG, Iva Crabtree (1918 - 1935)

MRS. IVA YOUNG DEAD - Mrs. Iva Young, 19 years old, died at the General hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, Monday, October 7, 1935. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Young, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Crabtree, of the Altona neighborhood. There is also a brother.
Funeral services will be held from the Altona Baptist church, this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. McGrew. Burial will be made in the Crescent Hill cemetery by Creath & Six funeral service.
